DEEP MAPPING MIDDLETOWN WORKSHOP
On August 15 and 16, 2022, a group of scholars gathered for a workshop exploring the possibilities for a deep map of Muncie, the city that has long been the subject of “Middletown” research. Their charge was to envision how deep mapping a community that has been the subject of such thorough (if flawed) investigation over the past century, and what challenges such an undertaking will face. Below are links to short reports summarizing their ideas, which were presented in more detail during the workshop.
